Hello Patchers and Quilters

Hope this finds you all healthy and busy.  Apologies for not producing a May/June Newsletter but I have been pretty tied up with shows.  I have more shows to add to the list I gave you in the March/April Newsletter.  They are:

I also managed to squeeze in a couple of Country Fairs at Hornby Castle near Bedale, and Raby Castle near Darlington.  They were both stunning settings with deer wandering through the parks.  A wonderful family day out for those who went. 

Hello to the Canadian lady who bought fat quarters from me at Raby Game and Country Fair and picked up one of my flyers to show her quilting group when she returned home.  I hope you enjoyed your stay in England and had a safe journey home.

And to the lady who bought her first quilting kit (ABC Quilt) at Raby, I hope you have mastered the basics and are enjoying making the kit up. Thank you.

During the last month I have been in the process of altering roof space (not me personally I have my husband to thank for that!) to make a larger workshop.  Major works have been completed and I am now waiting for the electrician to finish before I move in.  It is quite an exciting time and I am really looking forward to having more space to work in. 

I have two new kits on the web site.  They are both made from a beautiful alphabet sampler called A’s, B’s and Dandelion Seeds.  The panel can also be purchased for those who like to make up their own designs.

The Rag Book 08/07 is 100% cotton fabric with polyester wadding and when finished measures approximately 6 ½” x 6 ½”.  The kit costs £9.50 and ready made £11.00.

A child’s name can be added to the back page of this book to personalise it; wither by embroidery or permanent ink.

The ABC Quilt 06/07 is 100% cotton with polyester wadding and when finished measures approximately 26 ½” x 26 ½”.  At this size it has many users – to lay on a cot, pram or pushchair, for baby to lie on on a floor or as a wall hanging.  One customer has made it as a hanging to hang on the inside at the end of a cot.  The kit costs £20.00 and ready made £35.00.

The panel measures approximately 44” x 23” and costs £7.50.

The Blue Flower Fabric costs £8.50 per yard.

I will be adding more Toddler Reversible Clothes to the range shortly.  Unfortunately – or fortunately – most of the stock sold at the shows so I need to start again.  Watch the web site if you are interested in these.

I hope you have been having the wonderful sunshine we have had in this part of North Yorkshire in June and so far in July.  We have had the odd thunder storm but it certainly refreshed the air for the next day.

Goodbye to Megan from Pateley Bridge who has returned to the USA.  Megan has been a regular Newsletter reader since we met at the show in Pateley Bridge.  All the best for the future Megan.
