JULY NEWSLETTER

Hello Patchers and Quilters

My holiday seems like months ago now.  I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed the break which, of course, included looking at patchwork shops.  I came home with a bundle of fabrics for myself (for those moments when I have nothing to do!)  Isn’t it great how a piece of fabric can stimulate you?

If you have taken a holiday I hope that you had a good time too, with lots of happy memories to recall over the colder months of winter.

It was good to see some of the Kit and Kaboodle quilters at the North Yorkshire County Show in June.  The weather was in our favour and there was a good turnout for the show.

The adult BOTM for July is a Variation on a Four-Patch. It consists of eight pieces using squares and rectangles and on completion measures approx 10” x 10”.  All fabrics are 100% cotton and are in three different patterns.

The junior BOTM for July is called ‘Road to Oklahoma’. It consists of twenty pieces using squares and triangles and on completion measures approx 12” x 12”. As for the adult block the fabric is 100% cotton and consists of a light, a dark and a patterned fabric.

Prices as before, for the adult kit £5 each plus £ 2 p and p and for the junior kit £3 each plus £ 2 p and p.

They can be ordered by post from the address given above, enclosing a cheque made payable to Kit and Kaboodle.
