May - June 2008 Newsletter
Hello Patchers and Quilters
As you can see I have combined the May and June Newsletters as I will be going away on holiday. My husband and I are flying off to Florida where we will be joined for a week by our son Robert and his girlfriend Lucy and the following week our friends Kate and Paul are coming to join us.
I will be visiting Patchwork and Quilting Shops whilst I am there - it will be a bit of a busman's holiday.
I now have more shows booked for the summer, they are -
North Yorkshire County Show, Northallerton - Sunday 15th June
Sneaton and Hawsker, Whitby - Saturday 19th July
Ripley, between Harrogate and Ripon - Saturday 9th August
I am hoping to be able to do more, but a t the moment I am waiting to hear from show organisers.
I have two new fabrics this month both from Makower and part of their Zen Range. The retail cost is £9.50 per yard plus p and p. (Check out the web site)
There are two new adult blocks - the May block is called 'Double Z'. It consists of 32 pieces. The June block is called '4 Patch Chain' and cnsists of 25 pieces. On completion both measure approx 10" x 10".
The junior blocks are, for May a block called 'Cracker'. it consists of 13 pieces. The June block is called 'Bear Tracks' and consists of 7 pieces. On completion both measue approx 12" x 12".
Prices as before, for the adult kit £3 plus p and p and for the junior kit £3 plus p and p.
A new kit to the site this month is a quilt called 'Gymkhana' measuring 48" x 72" on compltion. The centre panel is a gymkhana scene with a yellow border and bindings of multi coloured rosettes. The kit contain everything to complte the quilt, including fusible batting which makes the whole quilting process so much easier. The kit costs £75 plus p and p.
New to the Toddlers range is a revrsible 'Magical Cats' jacket to match the pinfore and dungarees. This is ready to wear and costs £18 plus p and p.

I recently had a lady look me up from Canada she was visiting her sister and was anxious to see what we had to offer. I is so nice to meet quilters in person.
