PATCHWORK KITS
Hello Patchers and Quilters
Can you believe we are in March already? Where does time go? Since my last Newsletter I have been sourcing some new fabrics which I hope to be adding to the site in the near future.
I have a series of three horse prints – one is of a show field /gymkhana; another is a border print (three different designs on the fabric), the design runs lengthways along the fabric and the last one is a fabric covered in mini rosettes.
Also new is a teddy bear print – a fabric covered in little teddy bears and to go with that a border print of teddy bears (again three different designs on the fabric running lengthways).
These will be added to the site at £9.50 per yard plus post and packing.
If you check out the site you will see that many of the kits have been reduced in price – there are some real bargains there. Some have been taken off as they are sold out. Don’t worry there will be new kits added throughout the year. The first one will be a quilt made up in the teddy bear fabric.
Below is a photograph of one of my three cats. Let me introduce you to Rusty, she is almost thirteen years old – but you would not think so, she is still very agile. As you can see she also likes quilts! She likes to sit and watch me work. I think you could say she approves of this quilt! This quilt will be added to the site shortly, it is a double bed size using the same Grandmother’s Choice blockthat I have put together for your Block of the Month. (SORRY NOT ABLE TO REPRODUCE THE PHOTO ON SITE)
The Adult Block of the Month for March is ‘Grandmother’s Choice’. Made up of a square, triangles and rectangles; using the rose series of fabrics that are for sale on the site. Finished size as always is 10” x 10”.
The Junior Block of the Month is called ‘Easter Egg’, made up of a chocolate coloured fabric for the egg, with a floral band for the ribbon and a neutral background. The block is made up of triangles and rectangles. Finished size 12” x 12”.
Prices as before, for the adult kit £5 plus £2 p and p and for the junior kit £3 plus £2 p and p.
